Pirates is one of G&S's most popular shows and Richard Fraser's production is full of surprising twists that bring the humour bang up-to-date. Essex girls on a day out to the beach meet posh pirates of very little brain. Throw in some revenge, equality policing, orphans, some confusion over leap years and the odd cutlass or two and mayhem ensues. Fabulous singing, handbag dancing and piratical leaping about.
